This course is designed to both test core barista skills as well as introduce more advanced skills and understanding of key concepts expected from a competent barista. This course is designed for someone with experience working in the specialty coffee industry, and all knowledge from Foundation level courses is assumed to be held - though Foundation certificates are not a requirement for attempting this course. Successful candidates will be able to dial in a brew recipe, make adjustments to maintain best practice as dictated by the SCA, make a full range of drinks with quality and speed, as well as understand the basics for customers service, cafe managements, and preventative maintenance. This class provides an in depth look into barflow, efficiency, teamwork, and waste management.
Length: 2 days 8am-5pm. Registration includes lunch, snacks, and all certificate and exam fees due to the SCA.
