In this week long class you will dive deep into coffee science behind the bar and in manual brewing. Successful candidates will achieve a high level of proficiency and knowledge in work flow management, bar design, drink preparation, recipe creation, quality control, recipe adjustment, and brewing trouble shooting. The Professional level is suitable if you want to pursue specialist knowledge at a high level in the art of being a Barista. Success at this level should indicate to employers competence to work in the field in a leadership or quality assurance role. Extensive relevant experience is recommended before attempting this level. Candidates must hold the Intermediate qualification in the module before attempting the professional level.
Length: 5 days 8am-5pm. Registration includes lunch, snacks, and all certificate and exam fees due to the SCA. Students should plan to leave town the day following class in case re-takes are needed.
